Return To Shopping Option
Over the weekend, I made a small change to my site, which I hope will help my customers with navigation. I added a Search link to all of my Go Live Pages. This was long overdue. I am trying to figure out how to add the actual search window to my homepage, and not just a link.
I also changed the code so that when someone clicks "Add to Cart" on my product pages, they get thrown into their shopping cart. This seems so small, but I think it will add some clarity to my shopping cart. Unless your shopper notices that the small little number next to Quantity changes, they don't really know if what they've done works. It just never seemed right that they weren't shown their cart when they added something to it. So now, I have another issue. Now, I want to give them a button that says, "Return to shopping", and apparently this is more complicated then I thought.
Right now, I have a "Return To Shopping" link that sends them back to the home page. But what I really feel that I need is a link that takes them back to the page they were on prior to hitting "add to cart". I posted a message on the board at Miva, but I don't really have a good answer yet. Apparently, you aren't able to get a module for this yet in Miva 5. This seems to be a huge drawback to Miva 5. You cannot add functionality to your site as easily, like you could with Miva 4, because a lot of these great modules have yet to be written for Miva 5...frustrating!
