Pictures Changing on Their Own?

avatar

Hello all. Ok. I'm surfing my own site to be sure everything is working like it should. I find pictures for products that aren't in the right place or products without pictures. I know I'm not perfect so when I see something wrong with my web site, I assume since I'm the only one with admin access, it's got to be something I did.... right?

The second time I noticed it, I thought I was losing my mind. Some days are like that. I fixed it and moved on wondering if I was competent enough to handle my own site.

Then I noticed it again. It can't be me! Is there a pattern? I noticed the items were all items that had recently been sold in our brick and mortar store through QBPOS. My best guess? When QB Web Connector (provides communication between my PDG Commerce and QBPOS) provides and update, it's somehow changing the URL's to the pics on my products.

What do I do now? I quickly email PDG support to sic them on it. They always respond immediatly, which I greatly appreciate. They were a little puzzled but updated my software to the latest version. Whew!

Again last week! Again with the support email. Again with the very nice support folks.I was given instructions to set a flag in my PDG Commerce software that will prevent image updates when other info is updated. Whew again!

I believe it's been solved but I was afraid to keep adding more product to the mix until I got a good resolution. I've also been busy with company and life in general but that was a much better excuse..:-) I have one of those V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N things coming up in a few weeks and I'm ready! Of course, company is coming and the trade show falls in there too.... I just can't seem to win this one..:-)

Things are moving along slowly but now back on track.

Till next time,

Sandy
